Meet Our Members

Ron and Darlene Ratlief, aka Braveheart and Trouble, Elder for the South Bay Chapter. We have ridden with Bikers For Christ Orange County since May of 2005, jumped in with both feet/wheels in passing out flyers for Koolride 2005.

Officially patched with Bikers For Christ as of July 29, 2007, the day of our wedding.

In Janurary of this year 2009, we were blessed with the South Bay Bikers For Christ Chapter.

We reside in the city of Torrance, California

I ride on 2004 heritage softail and my wife Darlene rides a 2005 custom sportster. I ride every day rain or shine, known as the biker with no sleeves and pony tail flying on the 405 Fwy every morning on the way to work. I have worked for Hughes/Boeing for almost 32 years. My wife Darlene has worked with handicapped kids for 10 years as a paraeducator, teaching them the skills to communicate with the outside world.

We are members of King’s Harbor Church in Torrance. We attend the Sunday morning, with an awesome worship service that will set you on fire and touch your heart and have a Tuesday night bible study each week in our home.

We attend at least 3 bike nights each week, rides to northern California, southern cal and our big trips for the last 4 years has been to Sturgis.

Our goal is to reach and touch as many hearts and lives that we can with the love of Jesus that we have inside of us. We have a mission field here in the South Bay area and with the help of our Lord and Savior, anything is possible.

Brian aka “Dennis the Menace” Matthews

I was born and raised in Texas and moved out to Calif. in 1987. I am happily married to Cheryl with 2 daughters Courtney and Sarah. I have been riding motorcycles most of my life. Got my first street bike in 87’ and have loved riding ever since.

I met Braveheart and Trouble in Oct 06’ at Ricky and Ronnies Bike Night. Classic Braveheart had my phone number entered in his phone before I knew it! They introduced me to O.C.BFC and I loved the idea of Christian Bikers! I ended up going on 5 toy runs with them at the end of 06’. I became a patch holder on March 13th 07’and have been loving it ever since!

   I live in Torrance. I ride a 1989 Suzuki Intruder…. Yes I know….

I go to Calvary Chapel South Bay and often visit King’s Harbor Church with the rest of the crew. I also enjoy going on Church invasions when ever I can. I love seeing other Christians and the look on their faces when they see Christian Bikers. I love showing non-Christians that there is a reason behind the huge smile on my face, it’s because I have Jesus in my heart and I want to share that with everyone!

Frank and Monika Fletcher. I was born and raised in Texas until I joined the U. S. Navy in 1974 until 1978. Either I did not get enough of the military, or did not learn the first time because I joined the U. S. Army in 1979 until 1991.

Monika was born and raised in a small town in Northern Bavaria Germany, and moved to Wurzburg Germany where I was stationed.

The best thing the Army did for me was enable me to meet Monika January 1982. We were joined in matrimony in November 1982 and are “Best Friends For Life” We have 2 kids Danny and Natascha.

We bought our bike in June 2009, and we felt that the Lord was calling us to minister, but did not realize that the mission field we were being called to was a motorcycle ministry. I searched on the web for a Christian motorcycle club, and the first one that came up was Southbay Chapter of BFC. I e-mailed Braveheart, and he invited us to their church at Kings Harbor. When we arrived at the church, Monika instantly recognized Braveheart and Trouble like she had known them already. From the minute Monika and I met Braveheart and Trouble they explained the mission of BFC to us, Monika and I prayed about it, and knew that this was the mission field that we were being called to as a couple. This sounds like a snap decision, but what do you expect? I met Monika one night, and asked her to marry me a few days later.

Monika and I became Patch Holders in December of 2009, and have felt like we are surrounded by family ever since. Monika and I enjoy attending all of the rides, and various functions that we can which provides us the opportunity to witness to others.
